Henry Mueller Retired from Farming, Dies
Is Striken With Sudden Illness at Residence on South Sixth. (07/06/1935)
Henry A. Mueller, 56, retired farmer and lifelon resident of this locality, died at 10 p.m. yesterday in St. John's hospital after becomming suddenly ill yesterday afternoon at his home, 1226 South Sixth street. He was removed to the hospital about 3 p.m.
Mr. Mueller was born Sept. 14, 1879 in this city. For many years he lived on and operated the Walnut Grove farm two and one-half miles south of the city limits. On Nov. 8 1922, he married Nellie Slick, his second wife, who survives together with one son, Carl, two daughters, Frances and Dorothy, all of city, one step-son, Thomas H. Slick, Chicago, and a granddaughter, Barbara Jean Slick; father Alex Mueller of this city; five brothers and seven sisters.
*** Note*** Also surviving was a daughter, Florence (Mueller) Dodd.

Marriage Announcement #1
Married at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, Nov 4, 1908 at SS Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, the rector, the Rev Father Reisen, officiating, Henry Muller, living south of the city, and Miss Carrie E Brunner, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Brunner, living west of the city.
The wedding was largely attended. The bride as attired in a gown of white Persian lawn trimmed in real lace and a white veil. With her tothe alter she carried a white prayer book. Miss Delia E Brunner, sister of the bride, acted as the maid of honor, and she was attired in agown of Persian lawn trimmed German lace. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations. Louis Gietl acted as best man.
John Brunner, brother of the bride, and Matthew Muller, brother of the groom, acted as ushers. The bride entered the church leaning on the arm of her father, who gave her away.
The wedding march was played by Mother Depazza, and Morrison's Mass in "F" was sung by the full choir. During the ceremony, "Hearts and Flowers" was played, and at the recessional the Grand Hungarian March was rendered in an excellent manner.
Following the ceremony, a luncheon was served at the home of the bride's parents, among the out of town guest being Mrs. Timothy Welch of Lincoln, Thomas Kavanaugh of Ashland, William Kavanaugh of Ashland, andMiss Maria Rosa Welch of Lincoln.
The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs Alexander Muller and is a popular young man.
The contracting parties left on a wedding trip to the northern part of the state and on their return will reside on a dairy farm owned by the groom's father.

Mueller, Slick-- Married at 6:30 o'clock Wednesday morning Nov 8, 1922 at SS Peter and Paul's Church, Rev. Father Riesen officiating, Henry Mueller, Rural Route No 9, son of Alexander Mueller, 1114 Franklin Afbenue, and Miss Nellie Slick, daughter of Thomas Kenney of Pasadena Calif., formerly of Springfield.
Mr. and Mrs. George Shea attended the couple. Floowing the ceremony,a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the groom's father. The couple will reside on a farm on South Sixth street road, and will be at home after an extended trip to the south.
